Thank you for visiting our site!

In the first week of November 2008 I travelled to Ethiopia to photograph the culture and the people in rural Ethiopia. A great deal of time was be spent in the village of Sululta. These photographs will not only be used to enhance awareness of the disparity in Ethiopia, but to capture the beauty of the people and the landscape of this region. The time I spent there was quite short (120 hours......or just over 5 days), but within those five days I experienced so much. Before I left for Ethiopia, I had done my homework hoping to gain some understanding of what I could expect, but it didn’t prepare me for what I experienced. Although we spent some time in a few impoverished villages, a great deal of our time was spent in Addis, the capital city of Ethiopia. Addis has a population of 4 million people, 95 per cent of whom LIVE IN POVERTY. Nothing could have prepared me for what I experienced there. However, despite living conditions that are terrible beyond words, I found a beauty in the people, particularly the children.

Through these images, I will try to tell you a story about the beautiful people, amazing landscape, and interesting culture of Ethiopia, as well as show you the desperate and deplorable living conditions in Ethiopia. Some of these images may be difficult for you to look at, but I am compelled to share them with you. I hope that these powerful images will touch your life and leave a lasting impression in your mind, as they have in mine.

I was thrilled to be part of the Imagine Adoption (restructured) Banquet on March 27th. The proceeds from the sale of my “120 Hours in Ethiopia” prints helped raise some money for an orphanage in Ethiopia.
Greater things are yet to come ! Check out my video page for a little video I put together for Imagine, entitled ”All God’s Children”

I am also excited to involved with some future fund-raising initiatives for Imagine Adoption - stay tuned !
